Freemasons working together for local charities

Since the COVID 19 Pandemic, Middlesex Freemasons have supported multiple different causes of charity that were inundated for help including:

12 foodbanks

12 homeless charities

5 hospitals

1 PPE

5 Mental health,

5 Unpaid carers charities

5 domestic abuse charities

1000 Easter eggs delivered

500 packets of biscuits/crisps etc for residents and carers to 20 care homes around Middlesex,

PPE for the Prince Michael of Kent care home

120,000 meals provided for the neediest in Middlesex

No other Province has done given so much, so we should be proud of ourselves and a big thanks to MMC and MPRF for their support.

This is particularly remarkable as COVID struck after our own 2020 Festival has finished, where we raised £4,519.500 making us the highest fundraisers ever in the history of RMTGM and the second in the history of Grand Charity, just behind a Province who had a 6-year festival against our 5 years. (Both Charities are over 250 years old).

Charity is one of the cornerstones of masonic values, and lockdowns nor the pandemic have stopped Middlesex masons being ‘masonic’.

Indeed under the leadership of the Pro Provincial Grand Master, Peter Baker, freemasons have been galvanised into a wide range of activities to help others.

Read below on some of the activities we have involved ourselves in, see the current progress, and fantastic sums of money and contributions Middlesex Masons are making to wider society in general.

Middlesex Covid Relief Appeal - Harrow District & Uxbridge Masonic Centres

In a major initiative, the kitchens at the Harrow District & Uxbridge Masonic Centres were re-opened during lockdown. With the help of some of the furloughed and volunteer staff, the centres prepared pre-packed nutritious meals, which were delivered to the Salvation Army centres at Harlesden, Harrow and Hayes, to the Harrow Voluntary & Community Sector Forum, SUFRA – NW London and to Hillingdon Council for onward delivery to the beneficiaries they have identified as being in need of a daily hot meal. The Appeal has been a major success with over 120,000 meals delivered in this period.
