Provincial Information Trailer – at St Margarets Fair – Report

Middlesex Information Trailer visit to St Margaret’s Fair, Twickenham– Saturday 8th July 2017

This was a return visit to St Margaret’s, our last visit being 2015.

The day started well with the British & Irish Lions being held to a draw by the All Blacks and subsequently many of those rugby fans in the local Turks Head were seen on the grounds of the Fair in cheerful spirits.

The Rugby was the first topic of conversation when we chatted with the representatives of  Harlequins Rugby, whose ground is less than a mile from Cole Court.

As a result, we plan to engage with Harlequins’ Community team

Contrary to the forecast, the day was bright, sunny and hot and this brought out a large local crowd.

It has been noticeable that the event is very well supported by the local community and our position next to the main entrance ensured we were seen by all.

A number of people stopped to talk to us including a brother from West Lancashire who lamented the lack of any such initiative within his own province.

We also took membership enquiries which will be handled by the Provincial membership Officer, Nigel Harris-Cooksley and his team.

Our thanks go to Tej Sehmbi, Keith Gregory, Tim Wright  and Richard Alliston for their help on the day.

Our next outing is to Uxbridge Auto Show on Sunday 16th July, come and say hello.

Can you give us information about large events in your community ?

Can you volunteer one or two days over the Summer to join our team of friendly Ambassadors?

It’s great fun as we chat to the many visitors to our trailer and enjoy the varied events that we attend.

Alternatively, can you help with towing our trailer to and from events, maintenance of items, producing marketing materials or background planning?

If so, or if you’d just like to know more then please contact the Information Trailer team leader, Richard Alliston on 07774 988747, or email him at :richard@corporatefinancegroup.co.uk
