Most Middlesex Masons will agree that the year 2020 has been another annus horribilis.
Certainly, none of us will have experienced such matters during our masonic lifetimes.
However, there is a shining light beckoning us to a new season of meetings and camaraderie at TDMC but with a few caveats thrown in to keep us safe.
Twickenham Masonic Council Chairman, Peter Hyde, sends the following message and invitation to Lodge Secretaries;
“May I take this opportunity to draw your attention to our catering facilities – the bar and dining room are open !
Whilst UGLE have stated there can be no Festive Boards after meetings, we as a Centre are trying hard to keep the business going and therefore could I ask you as the Secretary of your unit to promote the fact that everyone and anyone can dine at Cole Court under the Guidelines of the Government.
We are offering in these unprecedented times a three-choice menu of a starter, main and dessert for the very reasonable £ 24.50 per head.
There will be a full bar service available, so why not consider a meal with your friends (two to a table), a pre LOI meal to catch up on missing out on four months of our beloved Freemasonry.
We thank you in advance for your continued support of TDMC”
Although formal festive boards are not permitted, there is an opportunity to meet your colleagues for a drink and something to eat provided you stick to the rules shown below.
• Cole Court will offer to individual Masons a bar and restaurant service following their meetings.
• For drinks in the bar you are required to find a seat and wait to be served. A maximum of two households are to be seated at any one table,
• Dining Rooms will be laid out to comply with government rules. Booking forms for meals will be available for individual Masons to choose and select what they want and then pay for themselves.
Payments made on the day are acceptable, but payment will still be due even if you are unable to attend on the day of the booking.
Make sure you turn up. Remember to advise your requirements no later than 4 days in advance.
Please note that only two households can be sat together.
This is what we have been waiting for and we can be assured that all is being done to keep us safe.
