On behalf of the Right Worshipful Provincial Grand Master for Middlesex, HRH Prince Michael of Kent, GCVO, I have to advise you that W Bro Nigel Codron, SGD, AProvGM has submitted his resignation as one of his Assistant Provincial Grand Masters and as a member of the Craft Provincial Executive Committee, with immediate effect, for personal reasons.
On behalf of the Provincial Grand Master, I would like to express my thanks to Nigel for his significant contribution to the Province over many years, first as a Provincial Deputy Grand Director of Ceremonies from 2004 until 2011, then as his Provincial Grand Director of Ceremonies from 2011 until 2017, and subsequently as his Assistant Provincial Grand Master from 2017 to date, with responsibility for the Lodges in Group 1. He has also chaired the Provincial Communications Committee and has been responsible for the Potential Members Seminars and, latterly, for the ‘Discover Freemasonry in Middlesex’ initiative, which has proved to be very successful in attracting and interesting potential new members to the Craft and to the Province.
I am sure that you will all join me in thanking Nigel for his contribution to the Province over many years and wish him well for the future.
An announcement of the name of the Brother whom the Provincial Grand Master has appointed to succeed Nigel Codron as his Assistant Provincial Grand Master will be made in due course and it is anticipated that the appointee will be installed in office at the Province’s Annual Meeting, which is to be held at Freemasons’ Hall, London on Tuesday 14 May 2019.
