At the “virtual” Annual General Meeting of the Middlesex Province Relief Fund (MPRF) Management Committee on Wednesday 24th March, 2021, Chairman, Dr Robert Bethel reported on the wide range of Grants the Fund had been able to make during the previous financial year.
£5,000 – five donations of £1,000 each to food banks within the Province needing greater support in the current Covid-19 pandemic
£1,500 - to hospital and staff funds to assist with extra expenditure needed during the pandemic through the Middlesex Covid Relief Appeal
£4,700 - as Christmas gifts to 150 Widows of Masons whose Lodges have closed
£90,100 – to Lodges and Chapters for onward distribution to their chosen charities as part of The 2020 Festival Voucher scheme, bringing the total to £170,400

£500 – to the Salvation Army Hayes branch for computer equipment
In addition, the MPRF have been able to give financial assistance to individuals in distress (for example, through illness, disability, bereavement or housing problems).
The Middlesex Province Relief Fund (MPRF) was established following the sale of The Princess Alexandra Home at Stanmore in January 2002 to help Masons and their relatives in circumstances where either the Masonic Charitable Foundation (MCF) are unable to assist, or where rapid assistance is required, whilst an application to the MCF is being processed.
The fund is also available to assist non-Masons living within the old county boundary of Middlesex, who due to poor health, or poverty are in need of financial assistance.
