“Fore!”: A golfing shout out to Middlesex Masons !

Middlesex Masons are invited to take part in the Middlesex Masonic Sports Association (MMSA) Golf Section’s Golf Days during the summer months with an exceptional programme of golfing events. Please make a note of these dates for your diary:

Thursday June 20th – Lambourne Golf Course, Burnham – This is an Inter Provincial match between Middlesex and Berkshire and Buckinghamshire.

Middlesex is required to field a 12 man team, so get in quick.

The programme will follow this format: 12.00pm arrival with bacon rolls and tea coffee. Tee off will commence at 1.00pm with 18 holes of Better Ball match play which in the evening will be followed by a two course dinner. Jacket and tie required for the evening dinner and the cost for the whole day will be £60.

Thursday July 18th – Betchworth Park Golf Club, Dorking – This is an Interprovincial match which is being hosted by the Masonic Province of Oxfordshire as part of the South of England Masonic Provinces Championship for the Beauchamp Trophy.

Again a twelve man team is required but more can be accommodated on the day.This tournament has a shotgun start with groups starting simultaneously from different holes. Times, final costs and dinner menu will be notified in due course.

Thursday September 5th – Northwood Golf Club, Northwood, Middlesex – This Golf Open Day is billed as the Jewel in the crown of the Provincial Golf Calendar.

This is an individual Lodge and Chapter Team event playing for various trophies.

It will be 18 holes followed by a rolling carvery and prize giving.

Masons and non-masons are able to participate in the golf.

Times and costs will be notified in good time.

Steve Bevis of Heston Lodge winner of the Spring golf event and Louis Martinez runner up.

Recently the Spring meeting took place at Thorney Park Golf Club, Iver with many Middlesex Masons and their guests in attendance.

After a splendid day of Golf the winner of the day was Steven Bevis of Heston Lodge with Louis Martinez as runner up.

The event was also attended by W. Bro Robert Rough APGM and Provincial Charity Steward W. Bro John Briggs.

The day’s events were rounded off with an excellent two course meal after which the prize giving and a raffle.
