Middlesex Province Hosts Triangular Masonic Golf Match

Middlesex Captain Chris Johns receiving Trophy from Buckinghamshire Captain Stan Green

The MMSA Golf Section was delighted to host the annual triangular golf match this year between Berkshire and Buckinghamshire, at the Lambourne Golf Club, which took place on the 20th June 2019.

Each Province was represented by 12 golfers who battled it out over a really superbly presented golf course for the trophies that were at stake.

The golf was followed with a fine and adequate two course meal with the presentation of prizes.

There was more at stake than purely prizes and perhaps more importantly was personal golfing reputation and subsequent “ribbing” of masonic colleagues who did not fare so well on the day.

The results of the day and the presentation of prizes was as follows:

Middlesex beat Buckinghamshire -the first trophy for some time and team Captain Chris Johns was very pleased to receive it.

Berkshire beat Buckinghamshire and only narrowly defeated Middlesex.

For those in the know prizes were presented on all par 3’s and nearest in two on the short par 4 ninth.

There was a raffle and a lost ball competition which made for a most enjoyable day out.

The next MMSA Golf Section event is the Beauchamp Trophy on the 18th July- Middlesex Province has entered 3 teams.

The big event which is the one not to be missed will be the Open Day at Northwood Golf Club on the 5th September which is open to Masons and non-masons.
