Salvation Army in 700th Heaven

Thanks to the generosity of the Brethren of Gordon Bourne Lodge, No. 9388, the Salvation Army might be said to be in 700th heaven.

A magnificent donation of £700 was made from the Lodge Relief Chest to the Salvation Army in Teddington to support their foodbank.

This initiative amplifies the need for continuing communication between Lodge members during lockdown and in this instance the members of the Lodge voted in an online ballot to support the suggestion by Worshipful Brother John Briggs Provincial Grand Charity Steward that this donation be made.

A thank you letter has been received from Roger Coates, Divisional Envoy at the Salvation Army Teddington Corps for this very generous donation supporting their work in Teddington.

Under normal circumstances there might have been a photo opportunity to show the donation being made.

What is more important is that the gift was made and the money will be put to good use.

Once again Middlesex Freemasons reach out to the wider community in a show of concern, affection and benevolence.
