Nkokonjeru Lodge Charity Bonanza

On 17th October 2019, just before the regular Lodge meeting, Nkokonjeru Lodge, No. 9284 presented cheques totalling £6,351.50 to four charities at the Harrow District Masonic Centre.

The four chosen charities were –

DEMAND Design and Manufacture for Disability – £2,000

War Child – £1,925.75

Smile Train – £1,925.75

Khalsa Aid – £500

The total charitable donations made by Nkokonjeru Lodge during 2019 alone totalled £12,624.

The other charities which benefited were –

Mind in Harrow – £1,250

Women’s Aid Federation – £885

Motor Neurone Disease – £750

Mount Vernon Cancer Centre – £1,250

Lymphoma Research Trust – £2137

In addition, Nkokonjeru Lodge’s festival account for Middlesex 2020 stands at £36,776.15 qualifying the Lodge as a Vice Patron of the Festival.

Consecrated in 1988, Nkokonjeru Lodge No 9284 is not only one of the newest lodges within the Province but has become the largest private lodge with 70 members.

The name Nkokonjeru originates from Uganda, the heart of Africa.

In like manner its members have charitable hearts which have no bounds.
