Bring in the Stewards !

The New Craft and Royal Arch Stewards induction evening

Monday 7th September saw the re-start of Masonic activity for one of the Media Team, Provincial Communications Officer, Daniel Graham who attended the special evening to welcome the new Craft and Royal Arch Provincial Grand Stewards at Cole Court, Twickenham.

Led by the Provincial Grand Director of Ceremonies, W Bro Jim Mitchell, with his team of able deputies, in conjunction with the Prince Michael of Kent Stewards Lodge and Chapter, the evening provided an excellent induction to those recently honoured to become Provincial Grand Stewards.

For many gathered it would be their first foray into the Provincial arena.

The Pro Provincial Grand Master, R W Bro Peter Baker, gave a rousing address to the new stewards.

Following the briefing, all those assembled, including the Pro Provincial Grand Master, dined in socially distanced tables of two per table, which was in line with current guidelines with no toasts or wine takings allowed.

The stewards were invited to give a brief 40 second non-Masonic resumé which was a great opportunity for those present to break the ice and get to know each other better in preparation for the ceremonial year ahead.

Make sure you follow the Provincial Facebook and Twitter pages, as you may well be hearing more about this group of people and their diverse backgrounds.

You will find out who has a passion for classic cars and shooting, who has completed several obstacle course races, who has a famous dog on Instagram, and even meet the mason born in Gotham ! (Ed -not sure that one is entirely true !)

The Media Team members wish all newly appointed Provincial Grand Stewards both in Craft and Royal Arch every success in the year ahead.

No doubt they will be heading to a Lodge, or Chapter meeting near you soon. Hopefully !
