The Round Table Lodge of Middlesex, No. 8301 having achieved Patron status in The 2020 Festival, with a magnificent total donation of £27,301, is supporting the Association of Friends with a further £200 from the Middlesex Province Relief Fund.
This money will be used to sponsor a future event at the PMK Court which is being organised by the Association.
The Round Table Lodge of Middlesex supports the Association and is delighted to have the opportunity to sponsor some of the activities to be arranged by the Association, who do such great work for the Home.
In a response to the Lodge’s gift Doug Brodie, a Trustee of the Association, sent a letter of thanks to the WM and Brethren of the Lodge.
He stated that they hoped that the current crisis might be over by October when events might be organised for the benefit of the residents.
The PMKC remains in full lock down, he said, to ensure the safety of the residents against the Covid 19 virus.
Due to the quick thinking and action of the Home’s manager, there had been no cases of the virus at PMKC to date.
Even visiting medical staff have had their temperatures tested and are provided with full PPE before being allowed to attend.
Due to the prompt action and foresight of the RMBI Care Co, there had been no shortage of PPE.
The Activities Team at the Home have also stepped up, providing a wider schedule of things to do.
The lack of visitors has meant an increase in activities, particularly in the evenings and has created a higher level of social interaction among the residents.
