Clapping The NHS

Brethren of Kenton Manor Lodge, No. 7882 at HDMC

Monday 5th of July saw many Lodges and Chapters up and down the Country celebrating the first NHS, Social Care & Frontline Workers Day.

A programme led by United Grand Lodge of England (UGLE) called upon Freemasons to celebrate with a planned day of activities, from raising a special flag over masonic centres, a 2 minutes silence, a masonic toast and an 8pm clapping ceremony, as has become the national symbol of thank you for many weeks; clapping to say thank you to the NHS for it invaluable work.

The Brethren of Kenton Manor Lodge, No. 7882, together with two potential candidates to the Lodge, assembled on the steps of Harrow District Masonic Centre (HDMC) to take part in one of those events, that is clapping for the NHS before a Lodge Committee meeting and Lodge of Instruction (LOI) that was being held that evening.

The LOI was in preparation for the forthcoming Emergency Lodge meeting to be held on Saturday 10th July to install the new Worshipful Master Bro Graeme Taylor.

No doubt the meeting will be a welcome relief for the current master, W Bro Ajay Pabari who has served as Master for three consecutive years – a record for this Lodge.

Message from the Provincial Communications Officer Good luck with the meeting Brethren – I am sure it will be a special day with two Assistant Provincial Grand Masters in attendance. Best wishes to the Master Elect for a good year ahead.
