Breakfast at Featherstone

Members and guests attending Featherstone Lodge, No.7851 239th Regular Meeting on Saturday the 8th February 2020, at the Uxbridge Masonic Centre

What better way to go from refreshment to labour than by partaking in the full Uxbridge breakfast.

The Brethren of Featherstone Lodge, No. 7851 had this privilege and was no doubt enjoyed by all before setting off for the Temple.

Featherstone Lodge changed its meeting time In order to allow Draytonians Lodge, No. 3980 full use of the Uxbridge Masonic Centre as they were celebrating their Centenary meeting on Saturday 8th February 2020, Featherstone Lodge swapped their usual afternoon meeting time for a morning start with breakfast in the centres dining rooms.

This was the first of a kind for Featherstone Lodge in all its 57 year history and was enjoyed by all those in attendance, especially the numerous guests from Sincere Friendship Lodge, No. 8548, Kenton Manor Lodge, No. 7882 and St Peters Lodge, No. 7334.

( l to r ) W Bro Peter Webb PPrJGW (Proposer), Bro James Beckett and Bro. Sam Daulby (Seconder)

This was a special meeting in other ways as the guests attending were supporting the recent initiative to increase member attendance at the various Masonic units which meet at the Uxbridge Centre to create greater collaboration between the various Lodges and to support the Centre with increased member attendance.

Bro. James Beckett completed his Third Degree and was Raised to the sublime degree of a Master Mason during the meeting, which was attended by his Proposer W. Bro Peter Webb and his Seconder is Bro Sam Daulby.

W. Bro. Roger Tomlinson PPrSGD, a visitor from Sincere Friendship Lodge performed a particularly poignant graveside address during the ceremony to the gratitude and enjoyment of all those present and particularly the candidate who was very much moved by it.

A grateful thanks to W. Bro Campbell Caraher – Media Representative of Featherstone Lodge for this report.
