Barn Hill Lodge 7799 which meets at Harrow had a busy December meeting – with an Initiation and the Appointment of an Honorary Member.

The New: Brother Daniel Colley – who is an advertising copywriter – was Initiated with a faultless ceremony delivered by W.Bro. Alan Fox PPrGReg.

His proposer, W.Bro. Omaid Hiwaizi ProvGSD, delivered the Charge after Initiation and welcomed him in.

They met a few years back, both working in advertising, the topic of Freemasonry coming up in conversation during a work trip to Ibiza.

Dan’s interest grew and after attending the New and Potential Member’s Seminar in Harrow decided to proceed.

Bro Dan has senior Masonic connections in his family in America and looks forward to visiting there in due time.

The Old: The long standing Lodge Tyler, W.Bro. John Eavis PPrJGW was appointed as an Honorary Member of the Lodge in recognition of his decades of Service, having prepared most, if not all, of the current Membership at their Initiation.

Delighted with his appointment, he pointed out that this was his twelfth appointment as Honorary member, which must be some kind of record !
