What A Way To Go

Members of Circle of Friendship Lodge, No. 7320 their partners and guests

There can be no better way to finalise your time in the Worshipful Master’s Chair than to celebrate the culmination of that year with your wife alongside, together with all your fellow brethren and their ladies. And wouldn’t it be a bonus if a record-breaking amount of money was raised by the lodge for charity.

That’s exactly what happened when the Circle of Friendship Lodge, No. 7320 came together to celebrate the end of a fabulous year for the Worshipful Master Jayesh Maru and his wife Dipa.

The Ladies night was held at The Blue Room in North Harrow; a wonderful venue with very attentive staff who looked after all the needs of the 150 brethren, ladies and guests in attendance.

The evening was a very colourful event with all the ladies dressed elegantly in a most attractive array of colours and even the Lodge Members were encouraged by Dipa to add a little colour to their sober suits.

A BOLLYWOOD DISPLAY –

The guests were treated to an amazing Bollywood display by Dhvani, and were in awe of the skill and variety of the various dance sequences performed.

The event was a way for the Lodge members to honour their ladies and say a big thank you to them publicly, with their friends, for supporting them during the year.

It was also an opportunity for the lodge to introduce their friends to masonry at its very best and demonstrate the fun and fellowship that we all enjoy when meeting together.

Those attending were treated to a wonderful Indian meal and in between courses were able to try the intricacies of Indian dancing under careful instruction by Master of Ceremonies Jay Kumar and the resident DJ from the Blue rooms.

A MATTER OF CHARITY –

An auction and raffle were very generously supported by those in attendance and all of the prizes were donated by Lodge members or from local businesses.

Jayesh and Dipa raised a magnificent sum of £5,700.00 for their chosen Charity MIND in Harrow.

The charity MIND provides help, support and advice to empower anyone experiencing mental health issues.

They campaign to improve services and raise awareness and promote understanding of mental health issues.

Being chosen as Master of your Mother Lodge is probably the highest accolade one can ever receive, but to host such a wonderful Ladies evening at the end of that year is truly the best way to say thank you to all of the Brethren and Ladies present.
