Royal Jubilee Lodge, No. 72 hosts European Masonic Meeting Attendees – Report

A VERY SPECIAL MEETING

At our meeting on Thursday 1st June 2017 the Royal Jubilee Lodge, No. 72 welcomed numerous Brethren from other Masonic constitutions, including Norway, Germany, Romania and New Zealand, the visit having been arranged by W Bro Mike Kearsley, ProvGO and other Members of David Bonner Lodge, No. 9678, who were sponsors of the European Masonic Meeting.

It was a truly memorable occasion for the Lodge and one that will live long in our minds, so thank you Brethren for joining us.

Bro. Stuart Whittick was fortunate enough to be the Candidate and experienced a warm welcome from over 60 Brethren.

We are not sure how we are going to follow that when it comes to his Passing and Raising, but we will do our best !

Royal Jubilee Lodge, No.72 Secretary, W. Bro. Terwyn Williams, SLGR, a devoted Welshman and Welsh rugby supporter, (we won’t hold that against him) is making a habit of picking up big awards!

Having scooped the Rugby Union Writers’ Club Tankard award in January 2016, Terwyn was once again the recipient of a truly special honour on Wednesday 31st May 2017

After some 27 years as a voluntary kit man for the 1st XV (I’m sure he did much more than look after the kit) Terwyn was made an honorary member of the club, the first person to receive the honour for over 10 years.

His name will be engraved on the Honours Board at London Welsh RFC for all to see for ever more.

His name will appear along those of many more famous Welshmen, including such as John Taylor, Welsh International and British Lion.

So well done Terwyn, all the members of Royal Jubilee Lodge are immensely proud of your achievement.
