Many a true word spoken in jest but that is just what happened at Twickenham Masonic Centre on Saturday 28th April 2018.
Chief Roland Enyare Eyarhono was Installed as Worshipful Master.
W. Bro Roland was born in Nigeria in 1959 and was orphaned when only 13 years old.
He came to the United Kingdom in 1989 where he settled, married and had a family.
He was a relatively late comer to Freemasonry being Initiated into Dextras Dare Lodge, No 7054, sadly erased in 2014.
However, in the meantime W. Bro Roland became a Joining Member of St Clair Lodge, No. 2902 in April 2013 and very quickly became Inner Guard with subsequent progression to the Chair.
Bro Roland’s qualification for Chief was the result of an honour bestowed on him by the King of Umiaghwa Abraka Kingdom in 2014 in recognition of his charitable endeavours to the community both in Nigeria and within the Nigerian community in the UK.
W. Bro Roland then brings with him this tradition of charity which will no doubt come to the fore in his year as Worshipful Master.
The Installation was very well attended with 35 Brethren dining at the Festive Board afterwards.
W. Bro Roland who dressed in his Nigerian Chiefs robes was honoured with Master’s song by the Lodge Brethren.
Bro Roland is an amiable and much liked member of the Lodge and the Brethren of St Clair Lodge 2902 are delighted that he is now the Worshipful Master for the ensuing year.
