Roll Call Lodge, No. 2523 Initiated a new Candidate from the successful Discover Freemasonry presentations on Thursday 11th April at Twickenham.
The Lodge has earned a fantastic reputation with its superb fundraising activities and on the night presented a further £1,600 towards The 2020 Festival being the proceeds from the recent Mersey Boys Night at Twickenham, previously featured on this website. The Ceremony was a masterclass in ritual and ceremonial with the WM, W Bro Michael Strongman, leading a team of 5 separate Brethren who participated in making it a memorable evening for Bro Arnold Kekesi.
Bro Arnold commented, “I always looked for new ways to meet great people, also I like to help others, and be there for those who are less fortunate.
My curiosity led me to an open event where they talked briefly about Freemasonry.
I was really impressed by the quality of the presentation as well as the way I was treated. They made me feel absolutely welcome.
Soon afterwards, I had an opportunity to get to know members from my future Lodge, by spending time with them on every Tuesday evening for about six months.
It is hard to instantly join a group of people you never met before, but they made me feel comfortable from the very first second.
What I would like to point out is that every member of the lodge every single time treated me impeccably: something that rarely ever happened to me.
By the time of my Initiation, I trusted these people and knew that whatever happened they would stand by me.
The Ceremony itself was very unique experience. Feeling honoured and touched.
I felt very lucky that I met these fine men and cannot wait to prove myself worthy enough to be part of this great Lodge.”
W Bro Nigel Codron also attended the meeting, as he specifically wanted to see the start of Bro Arnold’s masonic journey, and the evening was made even more special by him being Proposed as an Honorary Member of the Lodge.
