Egg Bound in Middlesex

Care Home staff receive the Easter Egg Goodies

Easter is almost upon us and there is an expectancy of chocolate in an egg shape.

Because of the difficulties associated with mobility and lockdown for those in care homes, W Bro John Briggs, Provincial Grand Charity Steward decided to take matters into his own hands.

So that no elderly person in a selection of care homes would go without a chocolate treat, he acquired 1,000 Easter Eggs, 100 bars of other chocolate and 400 large packets of potato crisps as well as assorted breakfast bars, which would also be shared with the carers.

W Bro John diligently, and in his own time, spent a long four days delivering to various care homes across the Province from North to South and West to East also taking in the areas where the Provincial Masonic Centres are situated.

He also managed to fit in the Prince Michael of Kent Care Home in Watford.

A labour of love this wonderful gesture is paid for the by the Middlesex Masonic Charity (MMC).

Surely the residents of these Homes will soon be licking their lips and the Management will appreciate the Masonic kindness expressed in a small but tasty way.
