The distribution of freshly prepared meals, fresh fruit and drinks to over 2,500 people in need each week throughout the COVID – 19 pandemic, including NHS nursing staff and those sheltered people most at risk from the virus, has been a major success story and one in which Middlesex Masons may feel rightly proud.
However, there is always an ongoing demand for assistance, particularly in distribution.
Currently the team of drivers has worked relentlessly providing delivery logistics to Hayes, Harlesden, South Harrow and Harrow.
As the initiative is to continue for the foreseeable future, and to provide holiday cover for the current volunteer drivers, the team leaders are appealing to Middlesex Masons, who have the time to spare and are able to give at least half a day of their time per week, to help keep this initiative going.
This is vital to ensure that the momentum is maintained.
A full UK driver’s licence is all that is required.
PPE will be provided.
You will be expected to drive a large refrigerated meat van – a long wheel base transit type.
