Appointment Of A New Assistant Provincial Grand Master

I am pleased to announce that the Provincial Grand Master, RW Bro. HRH Prince Michael of Kent GCVO, has been pleased to appoint W. Bro. John Ernest Charles LEGGETT, PAGSwdB, PPrGSwdB, as his new Assistant Provincial Grand Master.

Bro. John Leggett has been a member of the Craft for 24 years, having been initiated in Exeforde Lodge No. 6391 in 1995 (Lodge erased in 2009) and is a Past Master and the current Almoner of Villiers Lodge No. 1194, which was one of the Founding Lodges of the Province of Middlesex in January 1870.

He was appointed to active rank as a Provincial Grand Steward in 2004 and was promoted to the active rank of Provincial Senior Grand Deacon in 2007 and further promoted to the rank of Past Provincial Grand Sword Bearer in 2011.

He has been one of the Provincial Grand Master’s Visiting Officer since 2008 and is an active and committed member of the Province.

In 2018 he was appointed to Grand Rank by the Most Worshipful the Grand Master as a Past Assistant Grand Sword Bearer.

On behalf of the Right Worshipful Provincial Grand Master, I will have the privilege and pleasure of obligating, investing and installing Bro. John Leggett in office at the Annual Meeting of Provincial Grand Lodge to be held at Freemasons Hall, London on Tuesday 14 May 2019.

I am sure that you will join me in congratulating Bro. John Leggett on this appointment and wish him well in his continuing and future endeavours on behalf of the Province as an Assistant Provincial Grand Master.
