RockRide 2 Gibraltar to Bucks

Rockride2 is an Ultra Cycling Challenge for 18 cyclists to ride from the Rock of Gibraltar to Buckinghamshire, a distance of 1500 miles, in 14 days durng June 2014.

Rockride2, as the name implies, is the second time this challenge has taken place. The first Rockride took place in 2010 with 9 riders completing the ride and raising £75,000 for a number of charities.

Rockride2 is a much bigger event with the 18 riders raising funds for 10 charities.

As in the case of the first ride, the event is organised overall by Buckinghamshire Freemasons together with the assistance of non-masons. Such a ride requires a great deal of support for the riders en route and this is being provided by a team from E Coy 7th Rifles who have a fleet of motorcyclists and army chefs and medics to keep them well looked after.

Each rider is raising funds for one of the ten charities, so take a look at the rider’s profiles to get information on them and the charities they are supporting.

Peter Lawrence PProvGStwd of Faith and Honour Lodge, No. 7142 will be representing the Province of Middlesex and riding on behalf of The Royal Masonic Trust for Girls and Boys (website: www.rmtgb.org).
